Pradhan: Jharkhand’s skill development is role model for other states

Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Petroleum and Natural Gas minister said on Friday that so far the skill development is concerned; Jharkhand has to be the role model for other states in India.

While addressing the Jharkhand Skill Development 2018 in Ranchi, the minister said, “I am enthralled to address a youthful, exuberant and vivacious gathering of 25,000 bright young minds at the Skill Summit 2018 here. This state has tremendous potential and its development was thwarted by political instability since its creation in 2000 but it is now bearing the fruits of development under a majority government and stable leadership of Chief Minister Raghubar Das.”

In the speech, made on this occasion, Pradhan added that the skill development is one of the key priorities of the Modi government and there are several measures and initiatives have already been taken by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship to enable the skill ecosystem in states like Jharkhand, which could be beneficial for youths.

The minister also met state government officials of Jharkhand and discussed various issues regarding the implementation of central government’s schemes e.g. Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojona (PMUY) and Pradhan Mantri LPG Panchayat in Jharkhand and put the impetus on the requirement and growth of necessary LPG infrastructure for better service in the state.
