Pune Airport will go green with solar power plant of 300kWp

The Airport Authority of India (AAI) has taken an ambitious project of installing solar power facilities in all its airports and part of their planning, they are now going to implement at the Lohegaon airport; the maiden 300 kilowatts peak (kWp) of solar power plant.

The authority at Pune Airport has tweeted through its official tweeter handle, “The Pune airport will have a solar power plant by March 31. The tender process for the work has been completed. The total cost of the project is Rs.1.27 crore.”

It is informed by the officials of the electrical division of the Pune Airport that this project of the solar power plant is going to be installed at the Hanger of the Airport. Although the schedule of completion of the project was March 31, 2018; now it could be delayed few months.

Ahmedabad based Varchasva Industries got this prestigious project of 300 kWp solar plant from AAI and quite confident of completing the project within the scheduled timeframe, if required documents and approvals from the respective authorities are at the place, without any delay.
